High School Girl Tricia VS Tricia Today

When we were young, we imagine this awesome life we would have once we step out to the real world. Some of us dream to be rich, some dream to get married, some dream of exactly the opposite life that reality has given us the moment we thought we're going to have an amazing, worry-free life.

We think, "This isn't the life I signed up for. I am destined for greatness and romance and happiness." but I hate to break it to you, that's not how it works.

ON MONEY
High School Girl Tricia: When I graduate and finally get a job, I will apply
for a credit card and use it to buy a condominium,
a car and lots of designer stuff.
Tricia Today: I am renting a small bedroom in a condominium in Singapore. I take the public bus and train to go to work. I do not have a credit card... And I dont think you can use that to buy a condo or a car.

ON RELATIONSHIPS
High School Girl Tricia: When I graduate, I will marry my boyfriend. Work
for a while and then become a plain housewife.
We will have two kids, a boy and a girl.
Tricia Today: I dated douchebags. The most decent relationship I had is a 3-year relationship with more OFFs than ONs.

ON SEX
High School Girl Tricia: I will marry the first peron I would have sex with.
Tricia Today: Hmm. Nope.

ON PARTYING
High School Girl Tricia: Life is too short to be boring. Party all night. Yeahhhh!
Tricia Today: I just want a chair, a beer and a good band.

ON FRIENDS
High School Girl Tricia: I'll be friends with these people forever! They're the best friends I've ever had. I don't need to meet new people to hang out with. They're more than enough for me!
Tricia Today: Friend: Hey, we should hang out again. Me: Yeah, we should! * never happens *
